Ireland as many of his best known songs testify (The Darkening Docklands/My Father”s Ring/The Northern Queen/Sailortown etc)and his music encompasses many and varied styles, as one reviewer put it, ”From Celtic Soul to Folk/Blues to acoustic Rock n Roll”. Tom’s songs work equally well, whether it’s a solo acoustic set or with the Tom Martin Band (Pete Wingate – sax and piano, Bill Green – fretless bass, Glyn Philips – drums and percussion), his experienced and skilfull fingerstyle & slide guitar playing have thrilled audiences across Europe & the UK.
